Sarah R Arvey
Sarah R. Arvey joined the Lance Armstrong Foundation as Manager on the Research and Evaluation Team in February 2011. She manages and conducts collaborative research activities with partners such as the LIVESTRONG Survivorship Center of Excellence Network, as well as evaluates programs intended to improve the lives of cancer survivors. Trained in medical anthropology with a focus on Latino culture and healthseeking practices, Dr. Arvey received her doctoral degree from the University of Michigan in 2007. After graduate training, she sought further training and experience in cancer control and health disparities as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the National Cancer Institute Cancer Education and Career Development Program at the University of Texas, School of Public Health. Dr. Arvey’s publications are printed in professional journals including American Journal of Public Health, Journal of Oncology Practice, Ethnicity & Health, Health Education & Behavior, Hispanic Health International, and the Hispanic American Historical Review.
